1 Will the black finish fade over time more than other colours?
Yes, like all composite products, expect a soft, natural colour fade of around 20% due to UV exposure. This gradual change has been factored into the design and enhances the panel’s mature aesthetic. However, the black colour actually fades less than the other colours, making it a good choice for sunny homes!
2 Can I install this vertical composite fencing myself?
Definitely. The panels are lightweight, pre-measured, and designed for experienced DIY installation. You will need two people to install your composite fencing. Where the experience kicks in is using aluminium posts—setting and securing them correctly. However, you can use adapting U-shape channels for concrete posts, but you must call first, and lead times could be longer.
3 Are they safe for homes with pets or children?
Absolutely. The surface is smooth and splinter-free, with no sharp edges or hazardous finishes. Composite materials don’t overheat like metal fencing, making them safer on sunny days too.
4 Do I need gravel boards with vertical panels?
These fence panels come in a pre-assembled panel of 6ft by 6ft. It is advisable to use a small gravel board when installing, but take into consideration the size of the fence panels first, and call for more information if required.
