Grey Wood Grain Cladding has been a popular choice with our customers over the years. One combination we’ve seen work particularly well is the lighter Grey Cladding alongside Anthracite Grey Decking. Mixing the light Grey with the darker Anthracite breaks up the tones rather than covering the whole garden in one shade, and it’s a combination that continues to be popular year after year.
We’ve seen the same approach used around garden rooms with dark bi-fold doors, where the lighter Grey helps the darker frames stand out. Customers also combine it with Anthracite Grey Fencing, carrying the darker tone around the boundary while keeping the cladding itself lighter.
Like our other enhanced wood-grain boards, this surface uses techniques developed through our Wood Grain decking. The enhanced surface treatment gives the cladding a richer, more defined grain and, in our experience, helps it retain its colour better than our previous ranges while giving the Grey a more modern appearance for contemporary garden projects.

We wouldn’t call any exterior surface completely maintenance-free, but these boards require considerably less routine upkeep than traditional timber. There’s no regular staining or painting, and routine cleaning and maintenance can usually be handled with warm soapy water, a soft brush or sponge.
2 Does your grey composite cladding fade?
Yes, all first-generation cladding in any colour will see a change in shade. Our Grey Wood Grain Cladding may experience up to 20% colour fade within the first few weeks to months.
