The secret to its truly authentic appearance lies in our constant search for perfection. This journey led us to develop our enhanced capped surface treatment, where we took the advanced, multi-tonal patterns and surface techniques from our exclusive Natural Composite Decking Collection and engineered them into these slatted panels.
For me, it’s the combination of the mixed colour tones and defined wood grain that really sets these boards apart from a more conventional capped finish. You get the increased stain, moisture and colour-change resistance of a capped composite surface, but without losing the more rustic wood appearance we’re trying to recreate.
That makes Anthracite Grey particularly interesting because you’re combining that authentic timber character with a modern, contemporary dark Grey. We’ve seen it work especially well on garden rooms and exterior projects with bi-fold doors and other modern garden features, where the darker Grey can blend with the surrounding design while the wood grain gives the surface more depth and character.
