Black Smooth Cladding is a great option for customers looking for the benefits of composite without the larger price tag. It also comes in a longer 3.6m board compared with many of the options in our standard cladding collection, giving you a sleek, bold canvas of Black across larger exterior projects.
Like the rest of our smooth collection, these boards can show temporary water marks and tannin staining during the first few months as they go through their initial weathering. One slight advantage we’ve found with Black is that the bold, darker colour can make this early weathering process less noticeable than on some of our lighter smooth finishes.
From the feedback we’ve received over the years, the darker surface can also be forgiving when it comes to normal wear and tear, helping to disguise some minor scratches and everyday debris. We’ve also seen good longer-term colour stability from the Black finish, helping it retain its deeper, richer appearance as it naturally weathers.”
