Composite Decking Accessories
At UltraDecking we have every accessory needed to start and complete your composite decking projects, from starter clips and hidden fasteners to corner trims. The process of ordering your materials is as convenient as possible, with all you need under one roof.
Hidden fasteners will hide the connections between the boards whilst also allowing for thermal expansion side to side, starter clips will instigate your installation process whilst trims will create a seamless finish to your decking project. For a fascia we recommend using a standard composite decking board for maximum durability and to hide the underneath of your decking to finish the project off accurately

When installing your composite decking you must ensure you allow thermal expansion gaps. Hidden fasteners will leave a 3mm or 6mm gap dependent on the clip you choose side to side of the boards. When installing you must leave a gap end to end of 6mm.
Your joist centres should be 300mm for domestic projects and 200mm for commercial projects. When creating your subframe a gradient of 1.5% is needed for drainage. If you are raising your decking with posts, they must be buried at least 300mm and at intervals of 1.5m
It is important to note that your composite boards must be left for 48 hours outside to climatise to the environment. A benefit of composite decking boards is that they do not need to be drilled into like wood decking, your composite decking installation couldn’t be easier with our hidden fastening system meaning you do not need to compromise the boards structural integrity by breaking the boards surface.
