Is Composite Decking Slip Resistant
When building a decking area, there are many different varieties to choose from ranging from hollowness, colours and finishes. In recent years, composite decking benefits have got the attention of many home owners in the UK.
All our composite boards have an increased durability which doesn’t need the usual annual staining, painting and sanding.
Made from 30% wood fibres, 60% plastic fibres and 10% bonding agents, to provide the aesthetic of wood without the added disadvantages. Our composite decking boards are inspected and tested by third party industry specialists, such as Intertex, to ensure all our customers are not only provided with market leading prices but the quality to match.
Here at Ultra Decking, transforming your garden into the perfect outdoor sanctuary couldn’t be easier! As a leading supplier of composite decking, we have a wide selection of boards available in 10 different colours that preserve the natural aesthetic of wood; yet removes the problems associated with wood decking – such as warping, cracking, splitting and excessive maintenance.
We offer a wide range of composite decking boards that vary from four to six hollows and are all designed for longevity and durability. All boards are dual sided which can vary from either different colours or textures, such as one side can be grooved and the other side could be a wider groove pattern.
Here are other composite decking benefits:
Colours
There are a variety of colours available to choose from when picking your composite decking. Here at Ultra Decking we offer boards with multi tones such as reddish and browns to provide a more natural aesthetic similar to wood decking. We also have modern colours such as black and grey shades for a more non traditional aesthetic.
Another great benefits of composite decking is that the colour of the decking doesn’t fade like real wood. While weathered wood looks good, too much natural fading can turn this grey.
Surface Finishings
Our composite decking boards are available in not only a range of different colours but we also have two types of surface finishings available. These are woodgrain and grooved. If you are wanting to keep a more traditional wood aesthetic you may wish to use woodgrain composite decking boards.
These offer the natural look of wood however have all the benefits of composite decking – so you don’t have to worry about these rotting like timber! For a more modern aesthetic you may opt to choose grooved composite decking boards. All our boards are dual sided so it’s entirely up to you which way round you lay our boards.
Shield Technology
We are proud to offer capped composite decking which has an additional 0.4mm full plastic shield. This provides extra protection against mould, mildew, stains and fading. All of our composite decking boards have a hollow core which can range from four to six hollows, depending which collection you choose.
This durable hollow core ensures not only strength but also protects the boards from damage such as thermal expansion and contraction. All our boards are manufactured with recycled wood fibre and recycled grade A HDPE plastic.
